About your hosts:
Carole Petranovich and her husband Joe founded Computer Corner in 1983. Carole serves as the Finance Manager, Sales Manager and General Manager. Joe serves as the Technical Service and Computer Assembly Manager. The couple trademarked their own computer brand named “EQUUS” in 1985 and have sold over 90,000 custom-built EQUUS computer systems.
Carole was recognized as one of the top 25 Women in Business in New Mexico for 17 years, won awards for Entrepreneur of the Year, has been given awards of excellence by the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce and United States Chamber of Commerce and has served on numerous boards-of-directors in community service.
Phil Shortell is a professional educator with over 30 years’ experience in teaching Computer Science. Phil earned his first teaching credential in his home state of NJ and followed that up with teaching and School Director credentials in California before relocating to NM. Phil also holds certification as a Microsoft Authorized Instructor and a Microsoft Office Master. During the course of his career Phil has taught at four different colleges and been a guest lecturer on five continents. Phil became the lead Instructor at Computer Corner in 2005.
Joe Petranovich, Co-Owner of Computer Corner, joins the show for the most important events. Joe is a Microsoft Certified Engineer and is fluent in computer hardware and software ranging from Windows to DOS to CPM and hardware products dating back more than 30 years.
