In our holiday advertising, we encouraged the public to stop by the store to donate canned goods and non-perishable food items. We collected food through December and January. It was a success!
In our holiday advertising, we encouraged the public to stop by the store to donate canned goods and non-perishable food items. We collected food through December and January. It was a success!
We collected 68 pounds of food for families that are food insecure.
We partner with the food pantry at New Covenant Church on Paseo del Norte. According to their website:
Our NCC Food Pantry now cares for a number of families in need of food support on a weekly basis. We also support E.G. Ross Elementary with weekly weekend food bags so that some children will not go hungry over the weekend. If you like to shop for food, pack lunch bags or organize food deliveries, please consider helping our small and dedicated team in this ministry.
Executive Pastor David Adkins told me the the NCC food pantry supported more than twenty families over the holidays!
