(And What We Can, and Cannot, Accept)

That old computer in the closet. The monitor sitting in the corner. The server you replaced last year but never dealt with. Tech piles up fast. But here’s the important part: computers, monitors, and batteries can contain toxic materials. They don’t belong in a landfill.
At Computer Corner, we take environmental responsibility seriously. We follow what we like to call the trinity of environmental stewardship: Reduce. Re-Use. Recycle.
Computer & Equipment Recycling in Albuquerque
How We Practice Responsible Recycling
Reduce
We start by selling high-quality technology designed to last at least five years. Durable systems mean fewer replacements and less waste over time.
Re-Use
When customers leave equipment for disposal, we carefully evaluate it. If a system is suitable, we recondition and repurpose it through our Equus Renewed program.
Important clarification: We do not buy used computers. If equipment is left with us for recycling and meets our internal standards, we may refurbish it, but we do not purchase used devices from the public.
Recycle
If equipment cannot be reused, we responsibly sort it and partner with a trusted local recycler to ensure proper disposal. Nothing gets tossed casually. Everything is handled intentionally.
What We Can Recycle
We accept:
Desktop computers

Why It Matters
Recycling electronics properly protects:
The environment
Our local community
Future generations
It also ensures that sensitive components are handled appropriately instead of ending up in a landfill. If you have outdated tech taking up space, let’s handle it responsibly.
Reduce. Re-Use. Recycle. That’s how technology should be managed.
